Very happy to offer a daily use gaiwan on our shop. This is a lidded cup, used to brew tea, traditionally used in Chinese tea, this can be used to brew loose leaf teas at any place, all you need is hot water.
Steps to use :
Heat the gaiwan by rinsing it with hot water, pour that water into your drinking cup, this makes sure that the cup does not make the tea cold.
Add 1 teaspoon/2 grams of tea into the gaiwan.
Add hot water and cover with the lid, let it steep for 15-20 seconds and pour out the tea by filtering it using the lid, leaving a small space for water to pass out.
Tips :
You can do multiple brews using this, just keep adding 5-10 seconds each brew and enjoy 4-5 brews till the leaf provides you with flavour.
Fill the cup 80% to make it comfortable to pour.
